We are seeking to hire an Inventory Analyst for our corporate office in Markham. This is a fulltime permanent position.

The Inventory Analyst supports the Category Managers in the purchase of over 6,000 products, including national and premium brands of pet foods, private label pet foods and pet supplies, purchased from over 200 suppliers in 11 countries.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:  maintaining acceptable levels of inventory in our warehouses with respect to store needs; promotional needs; warehouse capacity and corporate standards; assessing buying alternatives; inventory planning; vendor management; ordering products; analyzing freight costs; maintaining information in specific systems related to inventory information including inventory levels; costing; new item listings and ordering for promotional activities.

 

Qualifications:

• Minimum one to two years experience in retail inventory management, replenishment or similar supply chain role
• Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management or Logistics. This should include a component of purchasing and analysis
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Word
• Demonstrated analytical problem-solving skills
• Vendor relations management 

 

 

Selected candidates will participate in testing to confirm proficiency in the above skills.
